It’s finally Summer which means there will be tons of invites to Barbeques. If you want to bring a dessert that will please the masses and will look pretty, I have it here for you today! A few of you may know that my mother is English, which means I grew up with trifles of every kind. I really love the way the stacked layers look and they’re really pretty with a lot of fresh fruit. I always like to add a bit of chocolate even if the recipe doesn’t call for it. Grate the chocolate on top of the whipped cream. Here is my favorite Strawberry Trifle Recipe, it’s so simple to make. With this recipe you can be the “Queen of the Cakes” at your next barbeque. So Yummy! Love to you all -Kaylee

Ingredients

1 cup cold milk
1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped
8 cups cubed angel food cake
4 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Directions
1. In a large bowl, beat the milk, sour cream, pudding mix and orange peel on low speed until thickened. Fold in whipped cream.
2. Place half of the cake cubes in a 3-qt. glass bowl. Arrange a third of the strawberries around sides of bowl and over cake; top with half of the pudding mixture. Repeat layers once. Top with remaining berries. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving. Yield: 8-10 servings
